BnP_devel_complete.lha
Nach gründlichem Abwägen meiner persönlichen Situation habe ich mich entschieden,
die kompletten Quellcodes aller hier veröffentlichten BarsnPipes New Versionen
den interessierten Programmierern zur Verfügung zu stellen.
Über den Umgang mit den verschiedenen Copyrights gibt es eine README-Datei,
die man unbedingt vor Verwendung des Materials durchlesen und natürlich beachten muss.
Ich gebe damit die Möglichkeit der freien Weiterentwicklung für die Nutzer-Gemeinschaft.
Das gesamte Material ist Freeware aber KEIN Public Domain (z.B. darf es nicht im AMINET veröffentlicht werden).

Freeware heißt in diesem Zusammenhang:
das ganze Material (die Quellcodes, aber auch die fertigen Programme bzw. Programmteile)
kann komplett oder teilweise verwendet werden, ohne etwas dafür bezahlen zu müssen.

NICHT Public Domain heißt in diesem Zusammenhang:
Die Autoren (ich bin nur einer unter vielen) verzichten NICHT auf das (ihr) Copyright "zugunsten"
eines allgemeinen Copyrights, wie z.B. GNU, BSD oder einer ähnlichen Lizenz.

After I've evaluated my personal situation I decided, to release the complete sourcecodes
of all here published BarsnPipes New versions for interested programmers.
I've written and included a README-file, which declares the facts about all copyrights.
Before you are using the material, you have to read this file and (of course) to follow the instructions,
how to handle the copyright correct. With this release I give the possibility of furtherdevelopment for the user-community.
All the material is released as freeware but NOT as Public Domain (for example: it MUST NOT released in the AMINET).

Freeware means here:
You may use parts or the whole material, without have to pay any amount.

NOT Public Domain means here:
The authors (I'm one in a group) still holding the (their) copyrights. They are not waiving there rights in favor of a common copyright,
like GNU, BSD or similar copyrights.
NB.: My copyrights are enclosed into the Microsoft Inc. license, because I'm enclosed as a member of the "community" of developers
of Bars&Pipes (or BarsnPipes).

Die meisten Download-Files sind *.lha-Archive. Wo Diskette angegeben ist, müssen die Archive zur Installation jeweils auf eine Diskette entpackt werden (DD oder HD ist egal).

Wenn nichts angeben ist, sollte das Archiv auf die Festplatte entpackt werden, denn es kann sein, daß die Größe der entpackten Archive das Fassungsvermögen einer Diskette übersteigt.

The most of the Download-files are *.lha archives. When you see the word Diskette, you have to unpack the content of the archive to a floppy-disc(you may use a HD or DD - floppy discs ... this is unimportant).

Otherwise you have to unpack the archive to the Harddisk, because some of the archive, if unpacked, are bigger than a floppy-disc.

This disk contains a minimal version of Bars&Pipes Professional 2.0.
Because 68000-AMIGAs (A500, A2000, A1000, A600) today are selled mostly very cheap from second-hand dealers, there was born the idea to use them as MIDI-processors together with Bars&Pipes Professional, because a 68000/8Mhz processor is fast enough for processing MIDI.

Joy2Drum

TransmissionTools V.1.1 (19.01.2009)
2 Tools von mir: "Transmitter"(Sender) und "Receiver"(Empfänger), die ähnlich arbeiten wie ein Radiosender und Radioempfänger. Übertragen wird auf bis zu 128 "transmissionchannels"(theoretisch bis zu 128 verschiedene Sender). Jeder Sender kann mit bis zu 20 Empfänger auf dem gleichen Kanal verbunden werden. Sourcecode ist dabei.
2 Tools from me, "Transmitter" and "Receiver", which are working similar like a radiostation and radioreceiver. The transmission is done over up to 128 "transmissionchannels"(theoretical up to possible 128 transmitters). Each transmitter may connected with up to 20 receivers. Comes with source.

GMDrums v.1.1(30-Nov-2007)
Ein Tool von mir, mit dem Note-Nummern von älteren externen MIDI-Drum-Computern, die noch nicht dem General-MIDI Standard(GM) folgen, den Note-Nummern des GM-Standards zugewiesen werden. Das Tool kann sowohl GM -> Custom als auch Custom -> GM übersetzen. Sourcecode ist dabei.
A Tool from me, to assign notenumbers of older external MIDI-drum-computers, which are build before the General-MIDI(GM) standard was defined, to the notenumbers of the GM-standard. The tool is able to work in both directions: GM -> Custom and Custom -> GM. Comes with source.

NoteOFF
Ein einfaches Tool für die Pipeline, das Probleme mit falschen NoteOFFs behebt.
NoteONs mit Velocity (Anschlagstärke) 0 werden in NoteOFFs umgewandelt, was sie in Wirklichkeit auch sind.
Die Velocity aller NoteOFFs wir auf 0 gesetzt, da es Tools gibt, die sie sonst als NoteONs erkennen und bearbeiten.
A simple tool, which fixes problems with false NoteOFFs.
NoteONs with velocity 0 are converted to NoteOFFs, what they are in real. The velocity of all NoteOFFs is set to 0, because there are tools, which recognize NoteOFFs with velocity greater 0 as NoteONs and handle them like NoteONs.

Das gesamte Material wurde von mir (Alfred Faust) neu bearbeitet. Vorwiegend für SAS/C 6.50 gedacht, aber auch für andere Compiler geeignet (CompilerSpecific.h wurde eingearbeitet). Compilation wurde nur mit SAS/C und DICE getested. Für andere Compiler-Systeme (StormC, MaxonC, vbbc u.a.) sind gegebenenfalls einige Änderungen im Quellcode nötig. Bei Verwendung von GNU/C müssten wegen des fehlenden __chip-Schlüsselwortes größere Änderungen gemacht werden. Das Problem ist der dortige Assembler, der "datachip" nicht verarbeiten kann.

The whole material was complete revised by me (Alfred Faust). Mainly it is made for the use of the SAS/C 6.50 compiler-system, but it is also useable for other compilers (CompilerSpecific.h is worked in). I've tested the source with DICE and SAS/C. For other compilers (StormC, MaxonC, vbcc or other) some alterations maybe neccessary. By use of the GNU/C-compiler much more alterations are neccessary, because of the missing __chip - keyword. The problem is the assembler, which can not handle "datachip".

Ab Version 1.26 sind alle Oberflächen-Bildchen wieder fest im Programm integriert. Es hat sich gezeigt, daß die von mir integrierte Möglichkeit eigene Oberflächen zu erzeugen so gut wie nicht genutzt wurde. Da das Einladen der externen 460 Bildchen aber unverhältnismäßig viel Zeit in Anspruch genommen hat, habe ich mich entschlossen, dieses nette Feature wieder zu entfernen. Dadurch verringert sich die Ladezeit dramatisch.
Es stehen nun drei verschiedene Versionen zur Verfügung:
  1. für OS3.0 oder höher: 32-Farben-Oberfläche (für AMIGAs mit oder ohne Grafikkarte)
  2. für OS3.0 oder höher: 8-Farben-Oberfläche (für AMIGAs mit oder ohne Grafikkarte)
  3. für OS2.1: 8-Farben-Oberfläche (NUR für OS2.1 - läuft auch auf Grafikkarten)

Since version 1.26 all GUI pics are reintegrated into the main program. The possibility, to create own GUIs was used only very rare. The loading procedure takes a big amount of time. Because of the rare used nice "Skinability"-feature I've decided, to remove it again. This reduces the start-time of the program very much.
Now I provide 3 different Versions:
  1. for OS3.0 or higher: 32-color-GUI (for AMIGAs with or without graphics-card)
  2. for OS3.0 or higher: 8-color-GUI (for AMIGAs without or without graphics-card)
  3. for OS2.1: 8-color-GUI (ONLY for OS2.1 - runs also on graphics-cards)

Mit diesem Paket können eigene Katalogübersetzungen erstellt und kompiliert werden. Der Katalog-Compiler CComp liegt bei, auch eine Anleitung (in englisch). Jeder der eine eigene funktionierende Katalog-Datei erstellt hat, möchte diese mir schicken, um sie hier zu veröffentlichen.

Die von Kjetil.S.Matheussen von Grund auf neu programmierte camd.library mit den gleichen Funktionen, wie die originale (v.37.14) von Commodore.
Das Treibersystem wurde geändert und verbessert. Im Archiv enthalten sind:

Das Problem mit dem Laden von MIDI-Files ist beseitigt, ebenso das Problem mit den teilweise gekürzten Notenlängen, und das Problem mit dem Speichern von Format0 MIDI-Files.
The well know MIDI-file load and save accessory in a reworked version, that will now handle all MID-files correct. The problem with the MIDI-file loading is removed, also the problem with the shorten notelength, which occurred from time to time, and also the problem with saving of format0-MIDI-files.

Das neueste BarsnPipes für OS 4.1 FE. Dies ist eine umfangreiche Bearbeitung und Anpassung an das letzte Amiga OS 4.1 FE inclusive aller Updates (Stand: Juni 2021).
Alle Tools und Accessories wurden ebenfalles angepasst und neu kompiliert. Auch ist dies das Installations-Archiv für die Neu-Installation.
Ich empfehle hier ausdrücklich allen, die auf diese Version umsteigen wollen, eine Neuinstallation. Dies kann durchaus zusätzlich zu der OS4.0-Version sein.
In dem Archiv ist auch das Material für die Katalog-Übersetzung enthalten, ebenso alle Treiber, camd.library, Fonts usw.

The latest BarsnPipes for OS 4.1 FE. This is an extensive update and adaptation to the last Amiga OS 4.1 FE including all updates (as of June 2021).
All tools and accessories have also been adapted and recompiled. This is the installation archive for the new installation.

BarsnPipes OS4.0 0.60
Dies ist die zweite Vorstellung von BarsnPipes auf dem neuen OS4.0. Besonderen Dank an dieser Stelle an Hyperion-Entertainment, die durch die großzügige Bereitstellung eines µA1-Boardes diese Umsetzung ermöglicht haben. MIDI-Tools ver. 1.4
Eine neue Version MIDI-Tools für BarsnPipes MOS 1.3.
Dies war erforderlich weil Antoine Dubourg (alias tcheko) in kürzester Zeit die camdusbmidi.class weiterentwickelt hat.
Diese neue Version verwaltet nun auch die sogenannten Multiport-USB-MIDI-Interfaces ohne Einschränkung,
solange das verwendete USB-MIDI-Interface dem USB-MIDI-Standard gemäß gebaut wurde.
Mit diesen Tools und der neuen camdusbmidi.class ist es nun möglich, bis zu 16 MIDI-Ports
(16x16 = 256 MIDI Kanäle bzw. Instrumente) zu verwalten.

A new version of MIDI tools for BarsnPipes MOS 1.3.
This was necessary because Antoine Dubourg (aka tcheko) has further developed the camdusbmidi.class in a very short time.
This new version now also manages the so called multiport USB-MIDI interfaces without any restriction,
as long as the used USB-MIDI interface is built according to the USB-MIDI standard.
With these tools and the new camdusbmidi.class it is now possible to manage up to 16 MIDI ports
(16x16 = 256 MIDI channels or instruments).

Seit April 2003 arbeite ich an der Umsetzung von BarsnPipes auf MorphOS/PEGASOS. Da teilweise ganz neue Programmieransätze nötig waren, veröffentliche ich erst jetzt die erste Beta-Version. Diese Version läuft einigermaßen stabil, allerdings fehlt noch die komplette Synchronisation über MIDI (SMPTE und MIDI-clocks). Das Archiv enthält alles, was zur Erstinstallation benötigt wird.
Diese Version enthält MIDI-Treiber(CAMD) für:
  1. den internen Gameport des Pegasos (im Moment nur für MIDI-Out)
  2. den Gameport einer Soundkarte der CREATIVE Soundblaster LIVE! - Serie mit dem EMU10k1-Soundchip (für MIDI-In und MIDI-Out)
Im Archiv enthalten ist auch der AHI-Audio-Treiber für die CREATIVE Soundblaster LIVE! - Serie:
Im Moment ist es nur mit einer dieser Soundkarten möglich, BarsnPipes für MOS sinnvoll zu nutzen. Ich bitte darum, dass mir entdeckte Fehler oder Probleme mitgeteilt werden - Danke.
In der MOS-Version müssen alle Tools und Accessories neu compiliert werden. Nur von 25 der originalen Tools liegt mir der Quellcode vor. So müssen alle anderen Tools von Grund auf neu geschrieben werden. Tools und Accessories aus der AMIGA-Version sind in der MOS-Version NICHT verwendbar.

Since April 2003 I'm working to port BarsnPipes to MorphOS/PEGASOS. Because in some cases totaly new programming solutions were neccessary, I can release a beta of BnP MOS first now. This version seems to run stabil enough for a first release, but it lacks the complete synchronisation over MIDI(SMPTE and MIDI-clocks). The archive contains all, you need for the first installation.

BarsnPipes AROS 1.0
Nachdem Franck Charlet - einer der Chefentwickler von AROS - sich die Mühe gemacht hat,
einen Treiber zu schreiben, der das Bindeglied zwischen der camd.library und der camdusbmidi.class
des Poseidon USB-Stacks ist, habe ich nicht gezögert, die Umsetzung von BarsnPipes auf AROS zu vollenden.
Denn mit diesem Treiber gibt es für AROS zum ersten Mal eine wirklich gut funktionierende MIDI-Übertragung.
Das funktioniert immer mit EINEM MIDI-Interface. Dieses kann aber mehrere Ports haben, und zwar bis zu 16.
Theoretisch sind damit bei einem 16-Port USB-MIDI-Interface 16x16 = 256 unabhängige MIDI-Kanäle (Instrumente) ansprechbar.
Ob das in der Praxis erforderlich ist, kann nur der Anwender entscheiden.
Diese neue Möglichkeit habe ich in BarsnPipes für AROS integriert.
Es existieren 16 neue unabhängige MIDI-IN und MIDI-OUT Tools.

Für AROS konnte ich 138 Tools (inclusive der 32 MIDI-Tools) und 1 Accessory umsetzen.
Für die Umsetzung habe ich die neueste Version der AROSone-Distribution
mit der AROS-Version Build ABI_V0 vom 30.Januar 2024 verwendet.

Die Übersetzungen werden auf dem klassischen AMIGA OS 3.9 erstellt (auch auf Emulatoren), und funktionieren auch unter AROS.

After Franck Charlet - one of the chief developers of AROS - took the trouble to write a driver
that is the link between the camd.library and the camdusbmidi.class of the Poseidon USB-stack,
I did not hesitate to complete the implementation of BarsnPipes on AROS.
Because this driver is the first time that there is a really well-functioning MIDI transmission for AROS.
It always works with ONE MIDI interface. However, this can have several ports, up to 16.
Theoretically, with a 16-port USB-MIDI-Interface, 16x16 = 256 independent MIDI channels (instruments) can be addressed.
Only the user can decide whether this is necessary in practice.
I have integrated this new option into BarsnPipes for AROS. There are 16 new independent MIDI-IN and MIDI-OUT tools.

I was able to implement 138 tools (including the 32 MIDI tools) and 1 accessory for AROS.
For the implementation I used the latest version of the AROSone distribution with
the AROS version Build ABI_V0 from 30 January 2024.
I cannot guarantee whether this edition of BarsnPipes AROS also works on older AROS versions.

The BarsnPipes archive also contains all required files:
- the program files (BarsnPipes, tools, accessories, 64-colour interface, etc.)

OctaMED Soundstudio v. 1.03
Vor einiger Zeit wurde OctaMEDSS ver. 1.03 freigegeben als FREEWARE (nicht PD).
D.h. die Nutzung des Programmes ist kostenlos. Die Weitergabe (Kopie) des Programmes darf auch nur kostenlos erfolgen.
Die Aufnahme des Programmes in Sammlungen, wie z.B. AMINET ist nicht gestattet, ebenso die Aufnahme in Sammlungen, die
zu Gewinnzwecken verkauft werden.

Das Archiv ist das gepackte OctaMED SS - Verzeichnis. Es muss nicht installiert werden.
D.h. man braucht das Archiv nur an die gewünschte Stelle zu entpacken, und das Programm ist einsatzfähig.
Die komplette Anleitung (englisch) ist ebenso enthalten.
Es gibt auch in dem locale-Verzeichnis eine deutsche catalog-Datei, die nach LOCALE:catalogs/deutsch/ kopiert werden muß,
falls man das Programm in deutsch benutzen will.

Some times ago OctaMED SS ver. 1.03 was released as FREEWARE (not PD).

It is not allowed to add the program to collections, like AMINET, also to add it to collections, which are made for profit-sale.

The archive ist the crunched OctaMED SS - directory. It must not be installed.
Only decrunch the archive to the wished place, and the program is ready to be started.
